POP UP DRIVE-IN at FOUNDATION

We’re transforming the Foundy parking lot into a Drive-In! For starters, we’ve got 2 shows planned and will add nights if and when we can.

We look forward to seeing you — but given the unique challenges of these times, we’ll need your help to ensure that the Grail Pop-Up Drive-In is both a fun and safe movie-watching experience for all. Please review the policies and information below carefully — and look over our list of Frequently Asked Questions — so you’ll know what to expect.

Drive-In Policy and Procedures

Tickets will be sold on a per vehicle basis, and each drive-in screening will be limited to 20 vehicles.

Tickets are per vehicle, not per person. The number of people in your vehicle cannot exceed the number of seatbelts.

No refunds or exchanges. If you can’t use your drive-in ticket, we recommend that you give it to a friend to use.

If weather conditions require the cancellation of a drive-in screening, your ticket can be used for a rescheduled rain date. If no rain date is possible, your ticket will be refunded.
Decisions on Cancellation will be made by 2:00PM the day of the show. Please watch social media for updates if rain seems possible.

For safety reasons, no cars will be admitted after the parking lot is closed. Lot opening and closing times will be included in your ticket confirmation — and will be adjusted based on each screening’s start time, which will change as twilight time shifts.

Once parked, you must stay in your vehicle at all times — unless purchasing from our outdoor snack bar or visiting the restroom, in which case masks must be worn and social distancing rules apply. Sitting outside in the lot itself, or on your vehicle’s roof/hood is not permitted.

No engine idling. Because vehicles will be parked closely together, your engine exhaust will affect the safety of others.

To give everyone the best viewing experience, please keep your headlights and running lights off once the film starts. (Each vehicle make/model has different options for turning off headlights/running lights when parked with a radio on — we recommend you familiarize yourself with what works for your particular vehicle.)

If there’s rain during the movie, please shelter in your vehicle. Vehicles will not be allowed to exit the lot until it is safe to do so, and only under the direction of staff.

Popcorn, candy, sodas and water are available for pre-purchase online and at our outdoor snack bar. For the safety of our staff, only credit/debit cards can be used to purchase snack bar items. While in line at the snack bar, please respect social distancing and plan to take your trash with you when you leave the parking lot at the end of the night.
We also encourage you to pre-order takeout meals from RosaBees to enjoy while watching the movie.

Drive-In FAQ’s

WHAT TIME CAN I ARRIVE?

We cannot place any cars prior to the scheduled ‘GATES OPEN’ time, so please do not arrive any earlier than the time designated on the ticketing page. Guests who arrive earlier will be asked to return at the scheduled time. Cars will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis, one car at a time, and in sections based on size of car.

HOW DO I REDEEM MY TICKET?

Upon purchase, ticket will be emailed your ticket. When you arrive to the event, please show the attendant the bar code on your ticket through your car window, either by holding up your printed version, or by displaying it on your phone or smart device. Attendant will scan it to check you in, and you’ll be good to go!

DO I NEED FM RADIO IN MY CAR?

YES! This is a “silent-style” Drive-In event, with no speakers. The film’s soundtrack will be accessible exclusively through your car’s FM Radio, for maximum social-distance safety. We will provide you with the FM station upon arrival. Make sure your car has an FM radio so you can hear the film! If your car is not equipped with a radio, we recommend bringing one. You cannot tune into the signal with a smartphone.

CAN I BRING FOOD / SNACKS?

YES! Your car is your screening room — so you are welcome to bring your favorite screening room snacks or purchase a concession package ahead from us online! (We’d appreciate that!) We will have fresh popcorn and movie snacks available on site as well for credit card purchases only. We do ask that you don’t discard your trash out the window and help us to keep the lot clean so we can continue drive-ins in the future.

WILL YOU HAVE RESTROOMS?

YES! We do have a bathroom available in the theater but we can only allow one person at a time. We require that folks wear protective masks when leaving your cars for any reason, including to use the restroom.

REMEMBER TO TURN YOUR ENGINE ON EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE…

As you will be running your battery non-stop so that you can listen to the film on FM, you run the risk of killing your battery. We will be ready to go with jumper cables for those who need them, but to eliminate the risk of your battery dying, remember to turn your car on every once in a while.

…BUT MIND YOUR HEADLIGHTS!

Some cars have headlights that automatically turn on when the engine is turned over. There’s generally a setting to eliminate that — please make an effort to switch that setting so that your headlights don’t beam on when you power on your car, as headlights wipe out the image on the screen.

MIND YOUR DOME LIGHTS AND BRAKE PEDAL

We understand that sometimes you have to flick on the dome light to look for something in your car, but please don’t have your dome light on for a stretched period of time — and certainly, not through the entire film. Any light proves very distracting to the audience around you. And lastly — we understand that it sometimes feels instinctual to do so, but please make an effort to keep your foot off your brake pedal. In a dark environment, brake lights provide quite the surprising glow.

CAN I SIT IN MY TRUCK BED?

– OR –

CAN I PUT MY CONVERTIBLE’S TOP DOWN?

– Please note that tall cars / SUV’s / trucks will be parked in parking areas to the sides of the middle area, or along the back rows, to minimize obstruction of rows behind you.

– Guests are allowed to sit in their truck beds, as long as they keep their protective masks on if they leave their car.

– Guests are allowed to put their tops down, as long as they keep their protective masks on if they exit their car.

– For trucks: Please keep in mind that the soundtrack is coming in through FM radio. As such, either have a low-volume FM radio in your truck bed with you, or you can slide open the little window to your truck bed and play through your car stereo at a reasonable volume.

Can I come with my RV, motorcycle, bicycle, or walk up?

Vehicles with attached trailers or RVs are not permitted. Motorcycles, bicycles and walk-ins are not permitted for safety and distancing reasons.

WHAT TIME DOES THE MOVIE START?

Please visit the ticketing page for the individual event to get information on what time gates open and what time the movie starts!
